Good Candidates For Photofacial/IPL
Photofacial/IPL is most effective on white, untanned skin. A good candidate for this type of treatment would be a person with blotchy, sun-damaged or discolored skin. Those suffering from rosacea will see tremendous results as well.
Who is NOT a good candidate?
People with tanned or naturally dark skin are not necessarily good candidates for Photofacial/IPL because there’s a risk that the skin pigment could change after treatment. Anyone taking Accutane should not consider an Photofacial/IPL treatment until at least 6 months after they stop using the drug.

Photofacial/IPL Treatment Process
Photofacial/IPL works by transferring Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to your dermis and epidermis. This light energy targets the skin cells affected by aging and stimulates your body’s ability to regenerate fresh new skin cells.
IPL light therapy improves your skin’s texture, tone, elasticity, and pigmentation. It reverses the damage done to your skin as a result of sustained sun exposure and the aging process. It is the only treatment of its kind capable of changing the expression of the genes associated with longevity, increased lifespan, and aging.
Since it is non-invasive, there is absolutely no downtime or recovery period required when you choose to have the Photofacial/IPL treatment performed. You can return to your daily routine the moment you walk out of the office, and patients often get the treatment during their lunch break before going back to work. Because of this, it is known as a lunchtime treatment.
Candidates for Photofacial/IPL rarely report any side effects. The skin anomalies treated darken and flake off within a couple of weeks, leaving your skin looking brighter and younger.
How Much Does Photofacial/IPL Cost?
PhotoFacial/IPL treatment price varies from patient to patient. This procedure’s cost is dependent on factors like the total number of treatment sessions required to achieve the patient’s desired aesthetic results.
